Course Description:
We are not curing periodontal disease. The same patients keep coming back with recurring periodontal pockets. We treat them, removed the periodontal pocket, but a year later, the periodontal pockets are developing again. This course will give you a different perspective on the cause and treatment of the disease.
We will discuss the three types of periodontal disease: gingivitis, periodontitis, and chronic periodontitis.
After completing this course, the clinician will be able to:
- Have a better understanding of irreversible pulpitis
- Learn what causes alveolar bone to dissolve and how to grow it back
- Determine the different types of clenching
- Treat periodontal disease
- Treat a peri-implant mucositis condition
- Treat chronic periimplantitis
