This course will discuss the techniques of effective and quality cosmetic dentistry. We will look at the TMJ's role in cosmetics, as related to proper occlusion to protect our artistry. We will also review the proper way to prepare and deliver anterior veneers, direct and indirect composite veneers, and indirect porcelain veneers. Anterior and posterior zirconia crowns, gummy smile treatment (including gingival contouring) gingivectomy, and Botox will be covered. Cosmetic orthodontics, cosmetic implants, and more will also be discussed.

After the completion of this course, the participants will have an understanding of:

  • The temporomandibular joints role in cosmetic dentistry
  • Indirect veneers - proper preparation and guidelines
  • The purpose of a diagnostic wax-up
  • Proper shade selection
  • “No-prep” veneers
  • The placement of direct composite veneer
  • Direct-indirect composite veneers
  • Enameloplasty
  • Gummy smile – treatments including gingival contouring, crown lengthening, and Botox
